KEPEZ 1 HEPP

Kepez 1 HEPP is a canal type power plant located within the borders of Antalya city center and produces electricity with the water released from Kepez 2 HEPP. Kırkgöz is fed from the water source. It has a total installed power of 26.4 MW with its 3 generators, each of which is 8.8 MW, and its annual generation capacity is predicted as 150 million kWh.

The Kepez Project, as a multi-purpose project, started to be constructed by the General Directorate of Etibank in 1955 and was put into operation in 1961.

Kepez 1 Hydroelectric Power Plant produces energy by dropping water from 162 m with a 653.71 m long and 2.50 m inner diameter reinforced concrete penstock from the forebay to 47.55 m reinforced concrete surge tank and from it with a 758 m long steel penstock.
